JP1 Version 12 JP1/Performance Management - Agent Option for Enterprise Applications Description, User's Guide and Reference

4.2.1 Failover when an error occurs on a PFM - Agent host

This subsection explains the processing when a failover occurs on a PFM - Agent host that is running PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Processing when failover occurs on a PFM - Agent host (for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or later)

The following figure shows the processing when failover occurs on a PFM - Agent host for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or later.

Figure 4‒3: Processing when failover occurs on a PFM - Agent host (for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or later)

[Figure]

A central instance and a dialog instance are running on each node. PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications monitors these central and dialog instances on each node.

PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications is set up on each node in the same manner as it would be on a single node and configured to monitor the central and dialog instances on each node. Registration to the cluster software is not performed.

Note

If you monitor PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications in SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or later, run PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications on each node in the same manner as it would be on a non-cluster system.
