Ensure that the Microsoft SQL Server has been started. Also ensure that the following items entered during the creation of the monitoring target were correct:

• Microsoft SQL Server instance name

• SQL_HOST (monitored host-name)

• SQL_USER (user-name)

• SQL_PASSWORD (password)

• DRIVER_NAME (driver name)

If the Instance-name of Microsoft SQL Server is incorrect, cancel setup of the instance environment, and then set up the instance environment again with a correct instance name. If other items are incorrectly specified, update the instance environment with correct values.
