4.5.3 Uninstallation procedure

To uninstall PFM - Agent for Platform:

  1. As the superuser, log on to the host from which Performance Management programs are to be uninstalled or use the su command to change the user to superuser.

  2. Stop Performance Management programs and services on the local host.

    Display service information to check whether any service is active.

    If any Performance Management programs and services are active on the local host, stop them all. For details about how to display service information and to stop services, see the chapter explaining how to start and stop Performance Management in the JP1/Performance Management User's Guide.

  3. Execute the following command to start Hitachi PP Installer:

    Linux:

    /etc/hitachi_x64setup

    Other than Linux:

    /etc/hitachi_setup

    Hitachi PP Installer starts and the initial window appears.

  4. Enter D in the initial window.

    A list of programs that can be uninstalled appears.

  5. Select the Performance Management programs you wish to uninstall and enter D.

    The selected programs are uninstalled. Note that you can move the cursor and use the space key to select programs.

  6. When uninstallation is correctly finished, enter Q.

    The initial window of Hitachi PP Installer reappears.
