JP1 Version 12 for UNIX Systems JP1/Performance Management - Agent Option for Platform Description, User's Guide and Reference

4.4.1 Setting the LANG environment variable

You need to set the LANG environment variable.

Before setting LANG environment variables, you must check that the language environment to be set is correctly installed and configured. If it is not correctly installed and configured, characters may be garbled or definition data may be rewritten inappropriately.

Note:

The language of the common message log is determined by the value set in the LANG environment variable at the time of service startup or command execution. This may result in character strings in multiple language encodings, such as Japanese and English.

The following table shows the LANG environment variable that can be used on PFM - Agent for Platform. If you specify any language other than those shown in the table (such as German, French, Spanish, Korean, or Russian), the system will assume that the LANG environment variable is set to C.
