A character string was not fully displayed because the maximum number of characters for the item was exceeded when the variable specified for the item was expanded. The permitted maximum numbers of characters for items are as follows:

Alarm message on the General settings page of the New Alarm > Main Information window: 255 bytes

Email body in the Email Settings field of the New Alarm > Action window: 1,000 bytes

Command arguments in the Command Definition field of the New Alarm > Action window: 2,047 bytes

Message in the New Alarm > Action Definitions > JP1 Event Settings window: 128 bytes

Mail Subject for the Action Handler service's Mail in the Properties method for the Services tree: 100 bytes

Displays the permitted maximum number of characters and then resumes processing.
The system determines the characters to be displayed as follows:

When the value of the expanded variable exceeds the maximum number of characters
Characters up to the variable that exceeded the maximum number of permitted characters are displayed.

When the variable expansion was successful, but a subsequent character exceeded the maximum number of characters
Characters up to the maximum number of permitted characters are displayed.

Reset the value so that the value of the expanded variable does not exceed the maximum permissible number of characters.
