An attempt to connect to Manager failed, so the service will be started in stand-alone mode. (host=host-name, service=service-ID)

An attempt to connect the indicated service to PFM - Manager failed, so the service will be started in the stand-alone mode.

(S)

Starts the service in the stand-alone mode. When communication with PFM - Manager is restored, the system automatically switches the service to the normal mode. When you execute the jpctool service list command on a remote machine to check the status of the service started in stand-alone mode, Inactive is displayed if the status management function is disabled. When the status management function is enabled, the system displays S Active or S Busy, depending on the status of the service.

The conditions for startup in stand-alone mode are as follows:

  • When PFM - Manager is stopped

While PFM - Manager is stopped, PFM - Agent and the Action Handler service are started in the stand-alone mode.

  • When automatic startup is used

PFM - Agent and the Action Handler service may be started temporarily in the stand-alone mode because they are started without waiting for startup of the PFM - Manager service. After PFM - Manager has started, they are switched automatically to the normal mode.

  • When PFM - Manager is busy

If many PFM - Agent systems attempt to start concurrently, PFM - Agent and the Action Handler service may be started temporarily in the stand-alone mode due to a wait for communication with PFM - Manager. When communication with PFM - Manager is restored, the system automatically switches the service to the normal mode.

  • When communication cannot be established with PFM - Manager for a reason such as a communication error

PFM - Agent and the Action Handler service are started in the stand-alone mode. After communication with PFM - Manager is restored, they are switched automatically to the normal mode.
