1.7.3 Window for creating a new alarm table definition

This window is used to create a new alarm table definition. To display this window, in the Alarms window, from the method frame, choose New Alarm Table. The New Alarm Table > Main Information window is displayed.

The following describes the displayed items:

Cancel button

Cancels creation of an alarm table.

Next > button

Displays the next window. This button is enabled when Product, Alarm table name, and Alarm name are specified.

For details, see 1.7.4(1) New Alarm > Main Information window or Edit > Main Information window.

Finish button

Saves the settings, and ends creation of the alarm table.

This button is available when values are entered in Product, Alarm table name, and Alarm name, and values are set in the New Alarm Table > Alarm Conditions window, which opens next.

If the auto alarm bind function is enabled, you are directed to the New Alarm Table > Finish window. For details, see 1.7.3 (1) New Alarm Table > Finish window.

General settings

Explains the definition items for an alarm table. Except for the following items, the items in the window are alarm definition items. For details about the alarm definition items, see 1.7.4(1) New Alarm > Main Information window or Edit > Main Information window. Make sure to replace New Alarm, a window name in the reference section, with New Alarm Table.

Product

From the pull-down menu, select the type of PFM - Agent or PFM - RM product for which an alarm table is to be created. In the pull-down menu, the PFM - Agent or PFM - RM products are displayed. If multiple data model versions are installed on PFM - Agent or PFM - RM, the version is displayed in parentheses.

This item can be set only when a new alarm table is to be created. It cannot be changed when alarms are added or edited.

Alarm table name

Specify the alarm table name by using no more than 64 bytes of two-byte characters, single-byte alphanumeric characters, the single-byte symbols % - ( ) _ . / @ [ ], and spaces. This name cannot begin with PFM, whether upper case or lower case.

This item can be set only when a new alarm table is to be created. It cannot be changed when alarms are added or edited.

These are alarm definition items. For details, see 1.7.4(1) New Alarm > Main Information window or Edit > Main Information window.

Organization of this subsection

(1) New Alarm Table > Finish window

If the auto alarm function is enabled, clicking the Finish button in the New Alarm Table > Main Information window brings you to the New Alarm Table > Finish window.

The following describes the displayed items:

Set Automatic Binding

If you want to apply the auto alarm bind setting to the created alarm table, click this link. If you click this link, one of the following items appears:

If the business group function is enabled:

Automatic Bind Settings appears.

If the business group function is disabled:

A confirmation dialog box appears. If you click the OK button in the dialog box, you are brought to the Automatic Bind Settings > Results window that shows the setting that you have specified. If you click the Cancel button, the auto alarm bind setting is not applied to the created alarm table.

This item is not displayed when the auto alarm bind function is disabled.

Automatic Bind Settings

The following describes the auto alarm bind setting items. These items are displayed only when the business group function is enabled.

Set a Limit on Business Groups check box

Select this check box when you want to apply the auto alarm bind setting to specific business groups.

Business Groups (Not Selected)

A list of business groups not selected as the targets to which to apply the auto alarm bind setting is displayed under this item. If there are any business groups displayed here that you want to select as the targets to which to apply the auto alarm bind setting, select each one of them and then use the move button ([Figure]) to move it to Business Groups (Selected).

Business Groups (Selected)

A list of business groups selected as the targets to which to apply the auto alarm bind setting is displayed under this item. If there are any business groups displayed here that you want to exclude from this list, select each one of them and then use the move button ([Figure]) to move it to Business Groups (Not Selected).

Move buttons ([Figure] / [Figure])

Use these buttons to move displayed business groups between Business Groups (Not Selected) and Business Groups (Selected). With the move button [Figure], you can move a business group from Business Groups (Not Selected) to Business Groups (Selected). With the move button [Figure], you can move a business group from Business Groups (Selected) to Business Groups (Not Selected) to Business Groups (Selected).

Execute button

Use this button to apply the auto alarm bind setting to the business groups selected under Business Groups (Selected). If you click this button, you are brought to the Automatic Bind Settings > Results window that shows the applied setting.

End button

End creation of the alarm table without applying the auto alarm bind setting.
