12.5.5 Monitoring from the JP1/IM2

If linkage with JP1/IM2 is enabled, the Performance Management configuration information displayed in the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2 is synchronized and updated with the configuration information that PFM - Web Console retains. The configuration information is synchronized at the following timing:

If the configuration information is synchronized while the already deleted agent is displayed on PFM - Web Console due to agent deletion and so on, that agent is also displayed on the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2. If you do not want to display the deleted agent on the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2, execute the jpctool service sync command on the manager host before synchronizing the configuration information.

If you also perform one of the following operations, you must use a JP1/IM2 function to synchronize the configuration information. For details about how to synchronize configuration information, see the manual on JP1/IM2.

For details on how to operate JP1/IM2 and the use cases, see the manual on JP1/IM2.

Notes:
  • If you change the enable/disable setting of the product name display function, the product name already displayed on the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2 remains unchanged. If you want to refresh the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2 so that the product name after the change of the enable/disable setting of the product name display function is displayed, you have to synchronize configuration information on the JP1/IM2.

  • If you perform one of the following operations while monitoring is temporarily disabled, the status displayed on the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2 might contradict the actual status. For details on how to deal with such a contradiction, see the manual on JP1/IM2.

    - Stop agent services.

    - Unbind an alarm table.

    - Update the alarm definitions bound to an agent.

    - Execute the jpctool config sync command or the jpctool config alarmsync command.

    - Apply alarm information.

  • When PFM - Manager works in a multiple-monitoring configuration, if the IM management node information acquisition API of JP1/IM2 is run, two IM management node information objects are returned per agent. These IM management node information objects represent the agent managed by the primary manager and the one managed by the secondary manager. This agent appears once in the window of the Integrated Operation Viewer of JP1/IM2.
