5.3.5 Setting display conditions for fields displayed in a report (filter condition)
Setting the display conditions for fields displayed in a report allows you to filter the data to be displayed in the report so that the displayed data best matches your purpose. You can also set multiple filter conditions.
-
In Field of the New Report > Filter window, select the fields to be filtered.
-
Set the display conditions for the fields.
For example, for a realtime report of the top ten processes whose CPU usage ratio is high and whose agent is PFM - Agent for Platform (Windows), if you specify the condition that the value of PID (ID_PROCESS) field is not 0 for Process Detail (PD) records, set as follows:
Field: PID
Condition: <>
Value: 0
-
Click the Add button.
The condition set in step 2 is added to Conditional expression.
Conditional expression: PID <> "0"
If no conditional expression is set in Conditional expression, the report is registered as a report without any conditional expression.
-
Click the Next > button.
-
When the report type is Realtime (Single Agent):
The New Report > Indication settings (Realtime) window appears. Go to 5.3.6(1) Setting the display information for a realtime report.
-
When the report type is Historical (Single Agent) or Historical (Multiple Agents):
The New Report > Indication settings (Historical) window appears. Go to 5.3.6(2) Setting the display information for a historical report.
-
- Reference note: If you want to set filter conditions while displaying a report
-
If you select Specify when displayed, you can set filter conditions while displaying a report. Do not select Specify when displayed if you want to display a report using conditions defined beforehand in the New Report > Filter window.
Notes:
-
Keep in mind the following notes if the filter conditions of a historical report include the Date, Time, or Date and Time field, which are added when a record is created in the Store database:
-
The year, month, day, hour, and minute values are evaluated for a filter condition while the second value is ignored.
- The condition "Date and Time < 2009 03 15 10:00:01" retrieves and displays records where the valueis 2009/03/15 09:59:00 or earlier.
- The condition "Date = 2009 03 15 10:01:00" retrieves and displays records where the value is "2009/03/15 10:00:00" or earlier.
-
The fields store values in GMT. Therefore, a date and time value specified in a filter condition is converted to GMT to search the Store database while retrieved values are converted from GMT to the time zone of your system to display the records. This means that you must consider time zone difference to specify a date or time value in a filter condition.
For example, the time zone of your system is JST (Japan Standard Time GMT+9:00) and you specify "Date = 2009 03 15" as a filter condition. The specified date value is interpreted as the JST time value of 2009/03/15 00:00:00 and converted to the GMT time value of 2009/03/14 15:00:00. This causes the system to use the date value of 2009/03/14 to filter records. Finally, you see records that fall between 2009/03/14 09:00:00 and 2009/03/15 08:59:00 in JST.
To display records that fall between 2009/03/15 00:00:00 and 2009/03/15 23:59:00, you must specify the filter condition as follows: Date and Time >= 2009 03 15 00:00:00 AND Date and Time <= 2009 03 15 23:59:00.
-
-
If "Agent Type = Tag" is set for the filtering condition, the same data is obtained as for the "Agent Type=T" filtering condition.
-
If a time more than 20 years from the current time is specified, different data than that for the specified filtering condition may be obtained.
