Cannot set configuration in the host. host-name

A host was found for which configuration information could not be set during confirmation of the configuration definition.

(S)

Causes an error in the jbsrt_distrib command.

(O)

Make sure of the following for the host where the error occurred:

  • JP1/Base is running. (You can check this by using the jbs_spmd_status command.)

  • The configuration management port (default: 20237/tcp) is running. (You can check this by using the netstat command.)

  • The configuration management port (default: 20237/tcp) is not filtered by a firewall.

  • The name of the host that caused the error can be resolved by its higher-level host. (You can check this by using the jp1ping command.)

  • The correct IP address you intended is obtained by name resolution.

  • The host that caused the error was not defined as the highest-level host. (You can check this by using the jbsrt_get command.) If this host is defined as the highest-level host in any configuration information, use the jbsrt_del command to delete that configuration information.

  • There is sufficient memory.

  • You have read and write permissions for the conf/route/ directory.

If you did not find any problems, perform the following procedure to check the host on which the error occurred:

  1. Execute the jbsrt_get command.

  2. Check whether one of the following occurred:

    - The KAVB3162-E message appeared.

    - The jbsrt_get command terminated abnormally.

    - The local host name appeared in Upper host or Lower host.

    - A host name other than that of the local host appeared in Local host.

    - The host name is garbled.

  3. If any of the above problems occurred, use the following procedure for recovery:

    1. Use the jbsrt_del command to delete the configuration definition.

    2. From the manager host, use the jbsrt_distrib command to re-distribute the configuration definition.
