If the following detailed information is displayed, take the indicated corrective action.

• Trap is running for the host.

  Stop the remote log-file trap and remote event-log trap running on the target host. Then retry the operation.

• Operations cannot be performed on the file.

  • Check the appropriate OS log listed in the following to determine if there is any shortage of an OS resource such as file descriptors, and then perform the processing again:

  • Windows: Windows event log

  • UNIX: syslog

  If the problem is not resolved, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact the system administrator.

If detailed information other than the above is displayed, execute the jimdbstatus command to check whether the IM database service is running. If the IM database service is not running, start it.
