Failed to encrypt communications by using the communication encryption function for CF - View. (host name of connection destination = connection-target-host-name, cause = cause)

An attempt to establish encrypted communication with the target host has failed.

S:

Terminates processing.

O:

Check the following items:

  • If The CN or SAN of the server authentication certificate does not match with the host name of the connection destination. is displayed for cause, verify that the CN or SAN in the server certificate of the connection-target manager host matches the connection-target host name in the IM configuration management viewer, and then log in again.

  • If A communication error occurred. is displayed for cause, check the items listed below, and then log in again. If the problem is not resolved, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact the system administrator.

    • Verify that the communication encryption function is enabled on the connection-target manager host. If the communication encryption function is enabled, verify that the non-encryption communication host configuration file does not contain the connection-target manager host name.

    • Check if the message Failed to read some of the root authentication certificates was output to the integrated trace log. If this message has been output, take the corrective action given for that message.

    • Check if the root certificate corresponding to the server certificate of the connection-target manager host has been placed in JP1/IM - View. If the root certificate has not been placed, place the root certificate.

    • Check if the server certificate of the connection-target manager host has expired. If it has expired, renew the server certificate.

  • If A system error occurred. is displayed for cause, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact the system administrator.
