An attempt to update the correlation event generation definition for host-name has failed. (reason = reason)

S:
  • Integrated monitoring database is not in use.

    Event generation function continues processing as before the update.

  • Integrated monitoring database is in use.

    The correlation event generation function of Event Base Service continues processing as before the update.

O:
  • Another command is now executing.

    Because the jcoegschange command changed the correlation event generation definition file or the jcoegsstatus command referenced the correlation event generation definition file, processing was retried, but it could not be referenced. Retry the operation.

  • An I/O error occurred.

    In Windows, check the event log, or in UNIX, check the syslog file, for an OS error such as insufficient disk space or a file I/O error.

    If an OS error did not occur, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact a system administrator.

  • There is insufficient memory.

    Make sure that there is sufficient memory. If there is insufficient memory, allocate more memory.

    If there is sufficient memory, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact a system administrator.

  • Other than the above

    Check the integrated trace log to see if an error was output by event generation function.

    If an error was output, take the corrective action given for that message.
