If The definition file is invalid. is displayed for cause, check the invalid definition message output to the integrated trace log of JP1/IM - Manager, and then correct the severity change definition file. Then, restart JP1/IM - Manager or execute the jco_spmd_reload command to reload JP1/IM - Manager.

If The definition file could not be opened. is displayed for cause, check the following, and then restart JP1/IM - Manager or execute the jco_spmd_reload command to reload JP1/IM - Manager:
- Check if you have write permission for the severity change definition file. If you do not have write permission for the file, set write permission for the severity change definition file.

If The severity change function is currently disabled. is displayed for cause, check and, if necessary, correct the JP1/IM - Manager settings and restart JP1/IM - View. Then, retry the operation.

If the problem cannot be resolved, or if a message other than the above is displayed for cause, check the following OS log items to see if a shortage has occurred in OS resources such as file descriptors.

In UNIX: System log (syslog)
If a resource shortage has not occurred, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact a system administrator.
