Connection to the connecting host failed due to the following reason(s):

• The entered connecting host name is incorrect.

• The connecting host is not running.

• An error occurred in communication with the connecting host.

If you use an integrated monitoring database, the IM database service is not in operating status.

Check the following items, and then retry the operation.

• Is the entered connecting host name correct?

• Is the connecting host running?

• Is there a problem communicating with the connecting host?

If you use an integrated monitoring database, execute the jimdbstatus command to check the status of the IM database service of the manager host. Confirm that the IM database service is running, and then retry the operation. If a KAVB8602-E message was output in the integrated trace log of the manager, take the corrective action given for that message.
