5.17 Edit Monitoring Group window
The Edit Monitoring Group window is used to edit the basic information about a monitoring group. When the changes made on this window are applied, the business group and monitoring groups in the following definitions in the central console are also updated:

The following describes the items displayed in the Edit Monitoring Group window.
- Monitoring group name

This text box specifies the name of the monitoring group being edited. Alphabetic characters are case sensitive. Control characters, slashes (/), and commas (,) cannot be used. A character string that begins or ends with a space cannot be specified. The monitoring group name must be unique in the same system hierarchy level. A character string having from 1 through 255 bytes can be specified. The default is the name of the monitoring group that was selected for editing.
Do not use any environment-dependent character for Monitoring group names. Such a character might cause character corruption.

This text box specifies a comment about the monitoring group being edited. Any characters other than control characters can be used. A character string having from 0 through 80 bytes can be specified. The default is the comment about the monitoring group that was selected for editing.
