4.9.2 Basic Information page

The Basic Information page is used to display or set basic information for the selected monitoring node.

The following figure shows an example of the Basic Information page of the Properties window.

The following describes the items displayed in the Basic Information page of the Properties window.

Monitoring Node Attribute Name and Monitoring Node Attribute Value

When the Add button is clicked, the values entered in these text boxes are registered as one entry in the list box (basic information display field). The following are notes on registering basic information entries:

  • A maximum of five basic information entries can be registered.

  • Each monitoring node attribute name must be unique. The attribute name of a monitoring node that has already been registered cannot be used.

  • The length of each monitoring node attribute name must be from 1 to 32 bytes.

  • The length of each monitoring node attribute value must be from 1 to 1,023 bytes.

  • The total length of monitoring node attribute values must not exceed 1,280 bytes.

Basic information display field

This area displays basic information about the selected monitoring node.

The user can edit or delete an entry listed in the basic information display field. The user edits an entry by selecting it in the basic information display field and then clicking the Edit button to display the Edit Basic Information window, where the values of the entry can be edited. The user deletes an entry by selecting it in the basic information display field and then clicking the Delete button.
