JP1 Version 12 JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Messages

KNAD3552-E

JP1/AJS3 management-target-process-name has timed out.

Processing to start or stop the indicated process is taking too long. management-target-process-name is the name of a process configured from all components under the control of system management.

Probable causes are listed below.

  1. A timeout might have occurred, because the machine was under a heavy load when the system started or stopped, or when the virus scan or backup software started.

  2. If this message is output when the process is started, many jobnets might be registered for execution or the execution generations of a jobnet might have been left unprocessed. Review the job operation settings. For details, see JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Overview.

(S)

Continues processing.

(O)

Take action as follows:

  1. Check whether the machine is under a heavy load. If it is, change the operation settings to alleviate the load on the machine. For example, change the times when JP1/AJS3 is to be started and stopped.

  2. If this message is output when the process is started, execute the jajs_spmd_status command to check whether the process indicated by management-target-process-name is running. If you cannot confirm that the process is running, wait a while and then try again. If the process has not started, restart JP1/AJS3. If this message is output while the process is stopped, stop the JP1/AJS3 service, and then check whether the process indicated by management-target-process-name remains. If the process remains, forcibly terminate it.

If you cannot solve the problem, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact the system administrator. For details, see 1.2.3 To the system administrators.
