An error occurred at the connection destination.

When this message appears in the Backup dialog box or Restore dialog box, the contents in Backup box might be incorrect.

Use the Windows event log or the syslog file on the host of JP1/AJS3 - Manager to examine the error. Then, correct the error according to the results.

The probable causes are as follows:

If the connection destination is JP1/AJS3 - Manager for Windows
  • Read and write permissions for the folder (and the files in that folder) specified by the database directory name for the scheduler service have not been set for the OS user mapped to the JP1 user.

  • The database for the scheduler service defined in JP1/AJS3 - Manager at the connection destination has stopped.

If the connection destination is JP1/AJS3 - Manager for Unix
  • The home directory of the OS user mapped to the logged-in JP1 user does not exist.

  • Update permission (rwx) for the directory (and the files in that directory) specified by the database directory name for the scheduler service has not been set for the OS user mapped to the JP1 user.

  • The database for the scheduler service defined in JP1/AJS3 - Manager at the connection destination has stopped.

When this message appears in the Backup dialog box or Restore dialog box:

Depending on the output timing, the following item in the Backup box might be incorrect:

  • When the Backup dialog box or Restore dialog box is open

    The first backup box listed in Backup box

  • When a backup box is selected in Backup box in the Backup dialog box or Restore dialog box

    The selected backup box

  • When you enter a backup box name in Backup box name in the Backup dialog box and then click the OK button

    The backup box entered in Backup box name

If the erroneous backup box is one of the following, delete it from the backup information directory:

  • A backup box saved in another instance of JP1/AJS3 - Manager

  • A backup box saved in an environment that uses different character codes

  • A backup box containing an edited backup information management file
