Make sure that the argument specified for the command is correct.
Also check the message output to the standard error output. Also check the integrated trace log for whether a KAVUxxxx message was output before or after this message. If a KAVUxxxx message was output, read the message explanation.
If the character encoding on the host on which you executed the command is different from the encoding on the manager host, the data size might have increased due to character code conversion during data transfer.
If character codes are converted on the manager host, make sure that the number of characters for each argument does not exceed the specifiable number of characters.
Remove the cause of the error, and then retry the operation.
