5.1 Overview of linking ERP systems
JP1/AJS3 can be used to automate the processing of SAP R/3 or similar ERP systems. Using the JP1/AJS3 calendar function or job scheduling function, you can finely schedule and operate ERP system tasks.
Define tasks for the ERP system as ERP system custom jobs in a jobnet. By linking the custom jobs with other jobs, you can execute ERP tasks upon the occurrence of a specified event or automatically execute a recovery unit if an ERP task fails.
JP1/AJS3 can link the following ERP systems:
To link JP1/AJS3 with a SAP R/3 system or SAP BW system, you need JP1/AJS3 for Enterprise Applications. Install JP1/AJS3 for Enterprise Applications on the same host where JP1/AJS3 - Agent or JP1/AJS3 - Manager is installed to execute custom jobs. JP1/AJS3 for Enterprise Applications is renamed from the JP1/Application Manager for R/3(R) in JP1 Version 6.
