12.3.51 Tool Settings dialog box

The Tool Settings dialog box lets you register a tool that you want to activate from JP1/AJS3 - View. This dialog box also lets you activate a registered tool on the JP1/AJS3 - View host.

The following explains the displayed items.

Tools list

This is a list box that displays the entry names and associated commands for all the tools that can be selected.

The tools that can be activated from the pop-up menu are marked with an asterisk (*) at the leftmost column. The order of the tools displayed in the pop-up menu is the same as in the Tools list box. You can use the Up and Down buttons to change the order of tools in this list box.

Double-clicking a line in the list box is an alternate operation for selecting the line and then clicking the Change button.

You cannot select more than one tool at the same time.

Add button

This button adds an item to Tools list. This list can display a maximum of 50 items. When you click this button, the Tool Entry dialog box appears. For details about this dialog box, see 12.3.52 Tool Entry dialog box.

Change button

This button displays the Tool Entry dialog box, in which you can change the settings of the item selected in Tools list. For details about the Tool Entry dialog box, see 12.3.52 Tool Entry dialog box.

Delete button

This button deletes the selected item from Tools list.

Up button

This button moves the selected line in Tools list one line upwards.

After the move, the line remains selected.

Down button

This button moves the selected line in Tools list one line downwards.

After the move, the line remains selected.

Start button

When you click this button, the command associated with the item selected in Tools list is executed on the host where JP1/AJS3 - View is running.

Close button

When you click this button, a confirmation message (KAVV386-Q) appears, if the settings have been changed.

Supplementary note

The tools are executed using the permissions of the OS user who activated JP1/AJS3 - View.
