11.7.7 Changing the background image of the map area

You can change the background image of the map area in the Jobnet Monitor window.

Two methods are provided:

The following describes each method and provides cautionary notes.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Setting the same background image for all units

You can specify the same background image in the Jobnet Monitor window and Jobnet Editor window for all units.

Specification

Use the following format:

jajsMapBackGroundPixmap=background-file-name (return)

If you omit this setting, no background image is specified.

Example

Use \tmp\japanmap.gif as background of the map area.

jajsMapBackGroundPixmap=c:\\tmp\\japanmap.gif (return)

(2) Setting a background image for each unit

You can specify a background image for each unit. For example, you can specify different background images for different job groups or different manager hosts.

Procedure

To set a background image for each unit:

  1. In the Jobnet Monitor window, choose Options and then Set Wall Paper.

    The Wall Paper dialog box appears.

  2. Specify the unit for which you want to set wallpaper.

    In the tree area, select the unit for which you want to set wallpaper. By default, the unit displayed in the Jobnet Monitor window is selected.

  3. Specify the name of the file you want to use for the background.

    In File name, click the ... button to display the Select File dialog box. In this dialog box, specify the name of the file you want to use for the background. When you select an image file in the Select File dialog box, File name in the Wall Paper dialog box displays the absolute path for the file.

    By default, the Depends on upper-level unit check box is selected in the Wall Paper dialog box. When this check box is selected, File name is disabled.

  4. Click the OK button.

    The Wall Paper dialog box closes.

(3) Cautionary notes

Note the following when you change the background image of the map area:
