11.5.3 Specifying the settings regarding the display of unit names and comments in the map area

You can specify the number of characters after which a linefeed is inserted in a unit name when displaying the icon of a unit in the map area of the Jobnet Editor window. Also you can specify whether to display a comment under the unit name.

To display a comment under a unit name, specify the number of characters from the beginning of the comment. The comment containing as many characters as the specified number is displayed.

If you do not want to display the comment, specify an identification character at the beginning of the comment. The comment does not appear in the map area.

Procedure

To set display of unit names and comments:

  1. In the Jobnet Editor window, choose Options and Preferences.

    The Preferences dialog box appears.

  2. In the Preferences dialog box, choose the Editor/Monitor page.

    The Editor/Monitor page of the Preferences dialog box appears.

  3. Set the following items for the Map Area:

    • Unit name new line

      Specify whether to specify a return position in a unit name when displaying the icon of the unit in the map area.

    • Characters per line

      Specify the maximum number of characters in one line. When the unit name exceeds that length, it continues to the next line.

    • Display comments

      Specify whether to display the comment under the unit name.

    • Displayed characters

      Specify the number of characters (not the number of bytes) from the beginning of the comment when displaying the comment under the unit name.

    • New line character

      When displaying the comment under the unit name, specify the position of a return in the comment by a character. Select the character for New line character.

    • Hide comment when

      To not display a comment under a specific unit, specify a symbol at the beginning of the comment. Select a character as the symbol for Hide comment when.

  4. Click the OK button.

    The Preferences dialog box closes. The setting takes effect when information is updated.
