JP1 Version 12 JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide

11.3.15 Displaying units in the tree area using the display order for version 10 and earlier

You can display the units in the tree area in the same order as in version 10 and earlier. If you enable this customization, units are displayed in character code order on Windows hosts, and in order of creation on UNIX hosts.

Specify from:

A JP1/AJS3 - View file (User-specified option file)

For details, see 11.1.1 Types of customization methods.

Specification

Use the following format:

jajsSortTreeArea={Yes|No} (return)

Specify No to display items in the same order as in version 10 and earlier. To display the units in the same order (Unicode) as they appear in the list area of the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window), specify Yes.

The default is Yes. If you omit this setting, Yes is assumed.

Cautionary notes
  • This setting is not applied to scheduler services displayed in the tree area in the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window). If the OS of the manager host is Windows, the units are always displayed in order of character encoding. If the OS of the manager host is UNIX, the units are always displayed in the order in which the units were created.

  • If you set this customization, the order in which job names in the tree area of the Daily Schedule (All Jobs) window are displayed by name will be different from the order in which they are displayed before the setting. Job names are displayed in the format of job-name:relative-path and in ascending order for the relative path. Those in the same relative path are displayed in ascending order for the job name.

Supplementary note

When you perform this customization, the new sequence of units in the tree area is applied to the following windows and dialog boxes:

  • JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window)

  • Jobnet Editor window

  • Jobnet Monitor window

  • Daily Schedule window

  • Monthly Schedule window

  • Search window

  • Wall Paper dialog box

  • Monitoring Unit Select dialog box

  • Selection of Release Target dialog box

Example

To display items in the same order as in version 10 and earlier:

jajsSortTreeArea=No (return)
