11.2.6 Preventing the history of previously used login user and connected host names from appearing on the Login screen

You can make settings so that previously used login information is not displayed in User name and Host to connect on the Login screen.

Specify from:

A JP1/AJS3 - View file (System common settings file)

For details, see 11.1.1 Types of customization methods.

Specification

Use the following format:

jajsHideLoginHistory={Yes|No} (return)

When you specify Yes:

The Login screen is displayed as follows at JP1/AJS3 - View startup:

  • User name: Blank

  • Host to connect: Blank

    Previously connected JP1/AJS3 - Manager hosts do not appear in the drop-down list.

When you specify No:

The Login screen is displayed as follows at JP1/AJS3 - View startup:

  • User name: The previous login JP1 user name appears.

  • Host to connect: The names of previously connected JP1/AJS3 - Manager hosts appear.

    A maximum of 10 names of previously connected JP1/AJS3 Manager hosts appear in the drop-down list.

The default is No. If you omit this setting, No is assumed.

Example

Make settings so that previous login information will not be displayed in User name and Host to connect when the Login screen appears.

jajsHideLoginHistory=Yes (return)

Cautionary note

When you open the Login screen in the following cases, User name and Host to connect are displayed even though Yes is specified for jajsHideLoginHistory.

  • When you reconnect to the host because you have been disconnected

    The Login screen is as follows:

    User name: Previously connected user name (inactive)

    Password: Blank (active)

    Host to connect: Previously connected host name (inactive)

  • When you start up JP1/AJS3 - View by using the ajs command with a login information file containing incorrect information

    The Login screen is as follows:

    User name: Value specified in the login information file (active)

    Password: Value obtained by converting the value specified in the login information file to * (active)

    Host to connect: Value specified in the login information file (active)

    Note that the list of host names does not appear in the Host to connect drop-down list.
