10.3.2 Highlighting execution units only

In the Jobnet Monitor window, you can highlight only those units that were executed or are scheduled to execute today. This makes it easy to see the units for the current day when a large number of units are defined at the same level within the jobnet.

To highlight execution units only:

  1. Select a root jobnet and open the Jobnet Monitor window.

For details about displaying the Jobnet Monitor window, see 8.6 Monitoring jobnets and jobs in a map.

  2. From the View menu choose Only Execution Units.

Units that were executed or are scheduled to execute today are displayed at normal color level, and all other units and relation lines are dimmed.

An example of the display when you choose Only Execution Units is shown below.

Figure 10‒3: Display example for "Only Execution Units"

    [Figure]

    [Figure]

If you close the Jobnet Monitor window with Only Execution Units in effect, the same status will apply the next time you open the window.

To unhighlight execution units, again choose View and Only Execution Units.

Depending on the execution schedule, the job flow might appear discontinuous when execution units only are highlighted.

An example of a job flow that looks discontinuous is shown below.

Supplementary notes
  • Units in the following statuses are not considered to be execution units:

    - Not registered

    - Not sched. to exe.

    - Not executed + Ended (not scheduled)

    - Bypassed

    - Skipped so not exe. (not scheduled)

    - Shutdown

  • When icons and relation lines overlap, highlighting precedence is as follows:

    1. Icon of execution units

    2. Relation lines to and from execution units

    3. Icons of other units

    4. Relation lines of other units

  • Highlighted display of execution units can be used in conjunction with highlighted display of preceding and succeeding units.

When highlighted display of execution units is used in conjunction with highlighted display of preceding and succeeding units, the base unit, preceding unit, and succeeding unit appear in their specified colors, and units other than those executed or scheduled today are dimmed.

  • Units other than those executed or scheduled today are dimmed in the map area but shown at normal color level in the list area.

  • Highlighted display of execution units is implemented by dimming units other than those executed or scheduled today and their relation lines. You can customize the dimming level. For details, see 11.7.12 Changing the lightness of colors of non-execution units when displaying only execution units.
