9.16 Temporarily enabling or disabling wait conditions

This section describes how to temporarily enable or disable the wait conditions used to control the execution order of jobs and jobnets.

For details about wait conditions, see 2.2.5 Using wait conditions to control the order of unit execution in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 System Design (Work Tasks) Guide.

You can also use the ajsplan command to enable or disable wait conditions. For details about this command, see ajsplan in 3. Commands Used for Normal Operations in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Command Reference.

To temporarily enable or disable wait conditions:

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, in Function Menu, click Status Monitor.

    Status Monitor is now selected.

  2. In the tree area, click the job group that manages the unit whose wait conditions you want to enable or disable.

The job group you clicked is selected, and its root jobnets appear in the list area.

  3. If you are enabling or disabling the wait conditions of a root jobnet, click that root jobnet in the list and then choose View and Wait Conditions Statuses. Otherwise, open the Jobnet Monitor window or other window, click the unit whose wait conditions you want to enable or disable, and then choose View and Wait Conditions Statuses.

The Wait Conditions Statuses window appears.

  4. Click the unit whose wait conditions you want to temporarily enable or disable.

The unit with wait conditions that you clicked is now selected.

  5. From the Operations menu, choose Waiting and then Wait Disabled or Wait Enabled.

The wait conditions of the unit you selected in step 4 are temporarily enabled or disabled.

If you disabled the unit's wait conditions, Wait complete (manual) appears in the Waiting status field in the Wait Conditions Statuses window. If you enabled the wait conditions, Wait incomplete (manual) appears in the Waiting status field.
