9.13.3 Releasing a root jobnet from the suspension

After changing a lower-level definition of a root jobnet, you must release the root jobnet from the suspension. You can release the root jobnet from the suspension when all the following conditions are satisfied:

To release the jobnet from the suspension:

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, in Function Menu, click Status Monitor.

    Status Monitor is now selected.

  2. In the list area, select a jobnet marked with the icon indicating the suspended status.

The jobnet you clicked is placed in the selected status.

  3. In the Operations menu, choose Suspension and then Release Suspension.

The Release Suspension dialog box appears.

  4. Select the behavior of the units added to immediately under running jobnets when the root jobnet is released from the suspension. You can select any of the following behaviors:

    • Execute

The units added while the parent jobnets were running will be executed when the root jobnet is released from the suspension.

    • Do not execute (stop)

The units added while the parent jobnets were running will be placed in the bypassed status when the root jobnet is released from the suspension.

    • Hold

When the root jobnet is released from the suspension, the units added while the parent jobnets were running will be placed in the hold status.

  5. Click the OK button.

When the root jobnet is released from the suspension, the Release Suspension dialog box closes. In the list area, the icon indicating the suspended status disappears and the status is renewed.

If the root jobnet is not released from the suspension, an error message appears and the Release Suspension dialog box remains open.
