9.13.1 Suspending the root jobnet

Before you change the lower-level definition of the root jobnet registered for execution, you must place the root jobnet in the suspended status. You can suspend the root jobnet when all the following conditions are satisfied:

To suspend the root jobnet:

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, in Function Menu, click Status Monitor.

    Status Monitor is now selected.

  2. In the tree area, click the job group that manages the jobnet whose lower-level definition you want to change.

The job group you clicked is now selected.

The subordinate root jobnets appear in the list area.

  3. Click the target jobnet, and then choose Operations, Suspension, and then Suspend.

The Execute Suspension dialog box appears.

  4. In the If a unit is executing group, select Suspend or Do not suspend.

If there is a running generation of the jobnet you want to suspend, you can select whether or not to suspend the jobnet. If you do not suspend the jobnet, an error is returned.

To suspend the jobnet, select Suspend.

  5. Click the OK button.

When the root jobnet is suspended, The Execute Suspension dialog box closes. Then, the icon that indicates the suspended status is displayed to the left of the Name column in the list area.

If the root jobnet is not suspended, an error message appears and the Execute Suspension dialog box remains open.

Supplementary notes
  • You can suspend the root jobnet registered for planned execution, fixed execution, or immediate execution.

  • In the definition, you cannot change the start condition.

  • If the target of the operation is a release-target jobnet, only a jobnet with a definition whose release status is Being applied can be suspended.
