JP1 Version 12 JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide

9.3.1 Changing the execution start time of a jobnet

To change the execution start time of a jobnet:

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, in Function Menu, click Status Monitor.

    Status Monitor is now selected.

  2. In the tree area, click the job group that manages the jobnet for which you want to change the execution start time.

The job group you clicked is now selected.

The root jobnet appears in the list area.

  3. Click the root jobnet containing the target jobnet, choose View, Daily Schedule, and then Hierarchy.

The Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window appears.

  4. In the tree area, click the target jobnet.

The jobnet you clicked is now selected.

  5. In the schedule area, for the jobnet selected in step 4, click the colored mark whose execution start time you want to change. Alternatively, in the execution result list, click the line whose execution start time you want to change.

  6. Choose Operations, Change Plan, and then Change Time.

The Shift Schedule Date and Time dialog box appears.

  7. Change the execution start time of the jobnet.

  8. Click the OK button.

The Shift Schedule Date and Time dialog box is closed.

The execution start time of the jobnet is temporarily changed.

The colored mark in the schedule area moves to the time and date specified in step 7. The colored mark is displayed in pale blue (default), which indicates the execution start wait status.

The change is also reflected in the execution result list.

For details about how to temporarily change the execution start time of a jobnet, see 4.5.3 Temporarily changing the execution start time of a jobnet in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Overview.

Cautionary notes
  • You can change the execution start time only for jobnets whose status is Wait for start time, Wait for prev. to end, or Being held (that is, jobnets that have not started yet). If you change the execution start time of a completed jobnet, the change will apply when the jobnet is re-executed.

You can also use the ajsplan command to change the execution start time of a completed jobnet, specifying the jobnet's execution ID or execution registration number.

  • You cannot perform the following operations for a release-target jobnet:

    - Change the execution start time defined for a jobnet in Being applied status to a time later than the release date.

    - Change the execution start time defined for a jobnet in Release wait status to a time before the release date.

  • If you have created schedules in a 48-hour schedule and want to change the execution start time of a root jobnet to 24:00 or later, specify the desired time in absolute time in the Specify date and time in the Shift Schedule Date and Time dialog box. With this specification, the execution start time is considered to be within the current day. If you change the execution start time of a root jobnet to 24:00 or later by specifying the desired time in relative time, the system assumes that the execution start time belongs to the next day's schedule.

  • If you use a 48-hour schedule to define the schedule of a root jobnet and have set a time other than 0:00 as the base time, JP1/AJS3 operation becomes complicated. For example, the specified date and time and the date and time on JP1/AJS3 might not match, or the time specifications might not be in chronological order. Caution is required. For details, see 3.3.2(1)(a) Setting the execution start time in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Overview.
