JP1 Version 12 JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide

9.2 Adding an execution schedule for a jobnet

This subsection describes the procedure for adding a fixed schedule for the root jobnet.

You can also use the ajsentry command to add an execution schedule for the root jobnet. You can use the ajsplan command to add an execution schedule for a jobnet other than the root jobnet. For details about the commands, see the description of ajsentry in 3. Commands Used for Normal Operations in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Command Reference and of ajsplan in 3. Commands Used for Normal Operations in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Command Reference.

To add a fixed schedule for a jobnet:

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, in Function Menu, click Status Monitor.

    Status Monitor is now selected.

  2. In the tree area, click the job group that manages the jobnet to which you want to add an execution schedule.

The job group you clicked is now selected.

The root jobnet appears in the list area.

  3. Click the target root jobnet, choose View, Daily Schedule, and then Hierarchy.

The Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window appears.

  4. In the tree area, click the target root jobnet.

The root jobnet you clicked is now selected.

  5. Choose Operations and then Add.

    The Add dialog box appears.

  6. Add the execution schedule of the root jobnet.

  7. Click the OK button.

The Add dialog box is closed.

A new execution schedule is added for the root jobnet.

In the schedule area, a colored mark appears at the time and date specified in step 6. The colored mark is displayed in pale blue (default), which indicates the execution start wait status.

The change is also reflected in the execution result list.

Cautionary note

You can add an execution-scheduled generation to a root jobnet only if the root jobnet is registered for fixed execution, or if the root jobnet is registered for planned execution and the status of the jobnet is Not sched. to exe.. The schedule definitions for the added execution schedule are ignored for both the root jobnet and its nested jobnets. If you add an execution schedule for a jobnet with a start condition, the jobnet is immediately executed without monitoring for the start condition.

Supplementary note

You can also add an execution schedule for a jobnet in the following windows:

  • JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window)

  • Monthly Schedule window
