12.4 Changing the settings of a host on which JP1/AJS3 is operating with the external database

Note that in some cases, you can skip some steps in the procedure as follows:

When changing the name of the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host:

You can skip the following steps in 7.9.1(2) Procedure for changing the host name of JP1/AJS3 - Manager:

  • Step for backing up the jobnet definition

  • Step for backing up the execution agent definition

  • Step for backing up the execution environment definition for QUEUE jobs and submit jobs

  • Step for re-creating the execution environment for QUEUE jobs and submit jobs

  • Step for again setting up the database environment

  • Step for recovering the jobnet definition that you backed up

  • Step for recovering the execution agent definition that you backed up

When changing the system date and time:

You can skip the step for re-creating the database environment in 7.9.3(1)(c) Moving the system time backward and starting JP1/AJS3 immediately.
