8.3.3 Checking the wait status from the status and wait status of the units whose end is being waited for

When you are monitoring a unit with wait conditions in a window such as the Jobnet Monitor window in JP1/AJS3 - View, you can open the Wait Conditions Statuses window to check the status of the units being waited for. Similarly, when you are monitoring a unit with wait conditions in a window such as the Monitor dialog box of the Web GUI, you can open the Wait Conditions Statuses dialog box to check the status of the units being waited for. In the Wait Conditions Statuses window of JP1/AJS3 - View and the Wait Conditions Statuses dialog box of the Web GUI, you can view a list of the units being waited for and check the execution status and the wait status of each of these units.

From the Wait Conditions Statuses window in JP1/AJS3 - View, you can open the Jobnet Monitor window and monitor the units whose end is being waited for.

For details about how to check wait conditions, see 2.2.5(8) Checking units whose ends are being waited for in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 System Design (Work Tasks) Guide.

For details about the Wait Conditions Statuses window in JP1/AJS3 - View, see 12.12 Wait Conditions Statuses window in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide. For details about the Wait Conditions Statuses dialog box in Web GUI, see 16.28 Wait Conditions Statuses dialog box in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Checking the wait status when a unit whose end is being waited for uses a start condition

If the Wait Conditions Statuses window in JP1/AJS3 - View or Wait Conditions Statuses dialog box in Web GUI displays a unit which uses a start condition and whose end is being waited for, information for the monitoring generation is displayed as the information for that unit. You can determine the wait conditions from the status and wait status of the monitoring generation.

For example, if Do not execute is specified for Abnormal end for an execution generation, you will be able to determine the following from the status of the monitoring generation and its wait status.

Example 1: If the status of the monitoring generation is Monitor-end normal and the wait status is Wait complete:

The wait has been completed normally.

Example 2: If the status of the monitoring generation is Monitoring and the wait status is Wait incomplete:

The wait has not been completed because the monitoring generation has not finished execution. Open the Monthly Schedule or Daily Schedule window and check whether any of the execution generations has ended abnormally.

Example 3: If the status of the monitoring generation is Monitor-end normal and the wait status is Wait incomplete:

The execution generation has not finished execution. The status of the execution generation might be Now running or Ended with warning. Open the Monthly Schedule or Daily Schedule window and identify the execution generation that has not terminated normally.
