3.3 Considerations when defining a jobnet execution schedule
Plan the schedule rules that determine the execution schedule for a jobnet. These include the start time and processing cycle for the jobnet.
The following table lists and explains the considerations when you plan jobnet execution schedules.
Table 3‒2: Matters to consider when defining a jobnet schedule
Consideration
|
Description
|
Execution start date and time
|
Consider the following matters, which determine how the start date and time of the jobnet are calculated:
-
The method of specifying the start date (Registered day, Absolute day, Relative day, Open day, Closed day)
-
The method of specifying the start time (Absolute time, Relative time)
-
Whether to set a base day and base time
|
Processing cycle
|
Consider whether to execute jobnets on a regular schedule. You can run a jobnet weekly, monthly, or yearly.
|
Method for closed day substitutions
|
Consider whether jobnets whose planned execution date according to the processing cycle falls on a closed day are to be executed
on another day instead.
