Perform the following procedure:

1. Make sure that the user is specified correctly. The user must be specified using only the user name, not the DN format.

2. Make sure that the specified user is registered in the external authentication server and is enabled.

3. Check and, if necessary, revise the values of basedn and attr in exauth.properties for the corresponding server.

4. If an LDAP hierarchical structure model is used, do the following:

- Use the hcmds64ldapuser command to confirm that the information for the server names specified for the auth.server.name attribute in exauth.properties is registered.

- Make sure that the user account used for information searching has the necessary permissions.

5. If an LDAP flat model is used, use the hcmds64ldapuser command to confirm that the information for the server name specified for the auth.server.name attribute of exauth.properties is not registered.

6. If the problem cannot be resolved, detailed investigation is required to determine the cause and resolve the problem. Contact the customer support, who may ask you to collect troubleshooting information.
