A connection attempt has failed.

Make sure that the external authentication server is running correctly, and then perform one of the following procedures:

For LDAP:

1. Make sure that the host or IP address, along with the port and protocol specified in exauth.properties are correct.

2. Make sure that the network is correctly connected.

3. Check the firewall settings.

4. Make sure that the LDAP directory server is compatible with the LDAPv3 protocol.

5. Check the SSL settings for when StartTLS is being used. For StartTLS, specify the host, not the IP address. Make sure that the keystore type of the truststore is jks.

6. If an OCSP is effective, check the following:

- Make sure the certificate is valid.

7. If the problem cannot be resolved, detailed investigation is required to determine the cause and resolve the problem. Contact the customer support, who may ask you to collect troubleshooting information.

For RADIUS:

1. Make sure that the host or IP address, port name, and protocol specified in exauth.properties are correct.

2. Check and then respecify the client secret set for the external authentication server and the secret set for the client.

3. Make sure that the network is correctly connected.

4. Check the firewall settings.

5. If the problem cannot be resolved, detailed investigation is required to determine the cause and resolve the problem. Contact the customer support, who may ask you to collect troubleshooting information.
