9.2.1 Installation of the data transfer command (In Windows)

This subsection describes how to install the data transfer command to use the command in a Windows OS.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Copying the executable file (In Windows)

Before the installation, copy the executable file of the data transfer command (DWClient.zip) in any folder on the machine where the command is to be executed.

The executable file of the data transfer command is installed together with the installation of JP1/DH - Server. The storage folders of the executable file are as follows:

When JP1/DH - Server is constructed on Windows

JP1/DH-Server-installation-folder\Client\DWClient.zip

When JP1/DH - Server is constructed on Linux

/opt/jp1dh/server/Client/DWClient.zip

(2) Checking the prerequisite software (In Windows)

(a) Checking the prerequisite OS

See 9.1.2 Precondition for installation and make sure that the software on the machine where the data transfer command is to be installed satisfies the prerequisites of that command.

(b) Checking JRE

It's confirmed that JRE is installed.

If the OS in use is Windows 8.1, right-click the Start window and open All Apps in the procedure below, instead of using the Start menu.

The procedure below describes how to set the environment variable on Windows 7.

  1. Start menu, click Control panel.

  2. Click program.

  3. A program and the function are clicked.

  4. Refer to 9.1.2 Precondition for installationIt's confirmed whether JRA meets the condition.

    When JRE isn't installed, or the case which doesn't satisfy the precondition install JRE of the version which satisfies the precondition, please.

(3) Installating JRE (In Windows)

How to introduction of JRE.

When JRE isn't installed or the version doesn't satisfy the precondition, it's put into effect.

Important

If you execute the data transfer command on the same machine where JP1/DH - Server is installed, you do not need to install JRE.

  1. An installation file of JRE is downloaded from the next Web site.

  2. A downloaded installation file is carried out.

    Please complete the installation work in accordance with the instructions on the screen.

(4) Setting the environment variable (In Windows)

An installation folder of JRE used in the data transfer command is designated as an environment variable.

When multiple versions of JRE are installed on the system, and when the standard JRE of the system is different from the 9.1.2 Precondition for installation, you need to designate the JRE installation folder as the environment variable. You can view the version information of the standard JRE by executing java -version in the command prompt.

The procedure below describes how to set the environment variable on Windows 7.

  1. From the Windows Start menu, right-click Computer and select Properties.

  2. Select Advanced system settings.

    The System Properties window opens.

  3. Select the Advanced tab, and then Environment Variables....

  4. Either select User variables for windows-user-name and then New...or System variables and then New....

  5. Enter DW_CMD_JRE_HOME for Variable name and the JRE installation folder's path for Variable value and then click OK.

    The following shows the path to the JRE installation folder when the program is installed in the default installation location:

    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31
  6. Click OK.

    Important

    When you execute the data transfer command on the machine where JP1/DH - Server is installed, specify the path of JRE included in JP1/DH - Server for the Variable value. The installation path for JRE is as follows:

    JP1/DH-Server-installation-folder\uCPSB\jdk\jre

(5) Installing (In Windows)

The following procedure shows how to install the data transfer command.

A user using the data transfer command must have write permission to the following folders:

  1. Decompress the data transfer command archive file (DWClient.zip).

    A DWClient folder is created.

  2. Move this DWClient folder into any folder.
