7.19.6 Cautionary notes for the Environment Settings window
The following shows cautionary notes for the Environment Settings window.
-
Paths and file names are converted to UTF-8 encoding when a file is saved. When this conversion takes place, any characters that cannot be converted are replaced with question marks (?). This can cause the following to occur:
-
The dialog box that appears when you click the Browse button displays the path of a higher-level directory or the current directory, not the path you specified.
-
If the folder specified in Job operation information contains a question mark, the dialog box that appears when you open a file displays the current directory, not the directory you specified.
-
If the folder specified in Save CSV File contains a question mark, the dialog box that appears when you save a file displays the current directory, not the directory you specified.
-
If the folder specified in Format definition contains a question mark, an error occurs when JP1/AJS3 - Print Option attempts to load a format definition file, and the document is not displayed. Also, the dialog box that appears when you click the Browse or Create button in the Format Definition Settings window displays the current directory, not the directory you specified.
-
If the folder specified in Jobnet flow format definition contains a question mark, an error occurs when JP1/AJS3 - Print Option attempts to load the jobnet flow format definition file, and the jobnet flow image is not output. Also, the dialog box that appears when you click the Browse or Create button in the Jobnet Flow Format Definition Settings window displays the current directory, not the directory you specified.
If any of these issues occur, change the path of the file or folder in the Environment Settings window.

-
If you have configured the system to not show hidden files and folders, the default file or folder is not displayed when you click Browse. You can display the file or folder by configuring the system to show all files. For details on how to do so, see the Help for the operating system. Alternatively, you can change the file or folder path to one the system can display.
-
If you specify a protected folder such as C:\Program Files as a folder path, files might not be output to the intended location.
-
If you enable the display of detailed schedule information while a monthly or daily schedule is displayed in the Job Operation Document Output window, simply clicking OK or Apply does not change the symbols displayed in the window. To update the symbols, choose Refresh from the View menu.
-
If a monthly or daily schedule is being displayed in the Job Operation Document Output window when you attempt to apply the changed Monthly and daily display hours setting by clicking the OK or Apply button, the changed display hour format cannot be applied. To apply the changed display hour format, choose the View menu and then Refresh.
-
If you make the unit name background transparent in map output or map PDF output, the character string of the unit name and the arrow might overlap, making it difficult to read. Resolve this issue either by changing the setting of Background of unit name to match the unit configuration, or by making the text box transparent in Microsoft Excel.
-
Note that you cannot use 48 hours to display a job operation information file with information collected by using JP1/AJS2 - Print Option Manager License 07-10 or earlier, or a job operation information file not containing any jobnet. If any of these job operation information files is output in a document with 48 hours specified in Monthly and daily display hours, a warning message appears and the data is displayed in 24 hours.
-
If you change the Monthly and daily display hours setting in the Environment Settings window after displaying a document, refresh the document display. If the document display is not refreshed when the display system setting changes from 24 hours to 48 hours, message KAVR2016-W appears, and then the data is displayed in 24 hours.
-
No comments can be displayed in the map PDF output. If you want to display comments in a PDF file, enable comments in the Environment Settings window, output a map to an Excel file, and then convert it to PDF format.
-
To display comments in the map output, this program requires Microsoft Excel 2007 SP2 or later. If Microsoft Excel 2007 SP1 or earlier is used, comments are not displayed correctly.
-
When multi-user remote operation is enabled, the updates a user made may be lost or a file I/O error may occur if more than one user uses the same location for the destination to which definition files are stored or job operation information files are output. Different locations must be specified for different users.
