jajs_hstd
- Organization of this page
Format
jajs_hstd [-h logical-host-name] -n detail-process-name
Description
The jajs_hstd command starts a separate detailed process of the host service management function (jajs_hstd).
Execution privileges
In Windows: Administrators privilege
In UNIX: Superuser privileges
Arguments
-h logical-host-name
In a cluster system, specify the name of the logical host on which you want to start the host service.
You can specify a character string of 1 to 255 bytes.
By default, the system assumes the logical host name specified by the JP1_HOSTNAME environment variable. If environment variable JP1_HOSTNAME is not specified, the physical host name (which can be determined by the hostname command) is assumed.
-n detail-process-name
Specify the name of the detailed process you want to start. You can specify any of the process names listed in the following table.

In the case of HP-UX, AIX, and Linux, the detailed process name is jpqman32.
Notes
-
Before you execute this command, make sure that JP1/AJS3 is running.
-
When ajsrcmdsvr.exe is running in Windows, after the ajsinetd process is individually stopped by the jajs_hstd_stop command, if the process is individually started by that command, the KAVS0903-E or KAVS0904-E message is output to the integrated trace log by the ajsinetd process, and then the process might fail to start. In this case, take the following actions:
- For physical hosts:
-
Using the task manager, make sure that no JP1/AJS3 command processes remain. If a command process remains, wait until the command is completed, or start the ajsinetd process individually after forcibly terminating the commands by using the task manager. If no command process remains, follow the actions described in the message that was output.
- For logical hosts:
-
Using the task manager, make sure that no JP1/AJS3 command process remains. If a command process remains, wait until the command is completed, or start the JP1/AJS3 service after forcibly terminating the command processes by using the task manager. If no command process remains, follow the actions described in the message that was output.
-
You cannot execute this command together with any of the following commands on the same logical host:
jajs_hstd command
jajs_hstd_stop command
jajs_spmd command
jajs_spmd_status command
jajs_spmd_stop command
jajs_start command (UNIX only)
jajs_start.cluster command (UNIX only)
jajs_stop command (UNIX only)
jajs_stop.cluster command (UNIX only)
-
In Windows, this command cannot be executed using short file names.
Return values
0 |
Normal end. |
Values other than 0 |
Abnormal end. |
Example
The following command starts the network control process (ajsinetd) on logical host lhost1.
jajs_hstd -h lhost1 -n ajsinetd
