JP1 Version 11 IT Operations Automation: Getting Started 


1.3.1 New installation of JP1/AO (in Windows)

Use the Hitachi Integrated Installer to install JP1/AO.

Before you begin

You must finish necessary tasks before installing JP1/AO, such as checking the server on which JP1/AO will be installed and installing prerequisite products.

Procedure

  1. Insert the distribution media, and then execute the Hitachi Integrated Installer.

  2. Follow the wizard to configure settings.

    Specify the JP1/AO installation folder.

  3. The information that was specified in the wizard is displayed. Check the content.

    If necessary, click the Advanced Settings button to change the following items:

    • Installation folders for the databases

    • IP address or host name of the JP1/AO server

    • Port number of the JP1/AO server

    • Whether to back up databases, and the backup folder

      As the preparation for an installation failure, specify whether to back up the databases that are shared with Hitachi Command Suite products and set the backup folder. You must set these items only when Hitachi Command Suite products have been already installed.

  4. Click the Install button to start the installation of JP1/AO.

    When JP1/AO is installed, the installation wizard for JP1/AO - Contents appears.

  5. Specify the installation folder for JP1/AO - Contents.

  6. The information that was specified in the wizard is displayed. Check the content.

  7. Click the Install button to start the installation of JP1/AO - Contents.

  8. In Windows, if you enter a value other than the default port number, perform the procedure to change a port number.

  9. After the installation is complete, execute the hcmds64srv command with the start option specified to start the JP1/AO services.

    Location where the commands are stored:
    Common-Component-installation-folder\bin
    Example of executing the command:

    hcmds64srv /start

Result

Caution
  • If you interrupt the installation, an empty folder might be created. If an empty folder is created, manually delete it.

  • If the installation of Common Component fails and you attempt to install it again, you cannot specify an installation destination different from the previous installation destination. Even if you enter a different installation destination, Common Component is automatically installed in the previous installation destination.
