21.6.4 Changing the action server queue size
If a command that does not terminate for a long time is defined as an incident action for a large number of incidents that occur over a short period of time, the action server might use up a lot of memory. To provide better action server performance, Hitachi places limits on the memory size that the action server can use.
To modify these limits, follow these steps:
Edit the following file:
Windows: %NNM_PROPS%\nnmaction.properties
Linux: $NNM_PROPS/nnmaction.properties
Look for two lines that resemble the following:
com.hp.ov.nms.events.action.jvmargs.minMemsize=-Xms6m com.hp.ov.nms.events.action.jvmargs.maxMemsize=-Xmx30m
These parameters show that the minimum and maximum memory size are set to 6 megabytes and 30 megabytes, respectively. Adjust these parameters to meet your needs.
Save your changes.
Restart NNMi by running the following commands:
ovstop ovstart
