JP1 Version 11 JP1/Performance Management - Agent Option for Service Response Description, User's Guide and Reference

3.4.4 Interpolating performance data

PFM - Agent for Service Response might not collect the performance data during a certain period of time, depending on the collection interval time of the Agent Collector and the measurement interval time of the Probe Daemon and the IE Probe Daemon.

This section describes how to turn on the data interpolation function using the last collected data. For details about the cases where the lack of collecting performance data occurs, see 5.2.2(2) Notes about Agent Collector's collection interval settings.

The Data Interpolation property determines the behavior of the performance data interpolation. To edit the Data Interpolation property:

  1. From the monitoring console Web browser, log in to PFM - Web Console.

    The Main window appears.

  2. In the navigation frame of the Main window, click the Services tab.

    The Services page appears.

  3. From the navigation frame, select the Agent Collector service.

    The Properties page appears.

  4. Select the Agent tree.

  5. Set the value of the Data Interpolation property.

When interpolating data, specify Yes. When not interpolating data, specify No. The default value of the Data Interpolation is No.

  6. Click the OK button.

Reference note:

Hitachi recommends that the collection intervals of the Agent collector and the measurement interval of the Probe Daemon and the IE Probe Daemon should be properly set in order to continue collecting the performance data.
