2.3 Overview of collecting and managing performance data
The following figure shows the flow of performance data collection by PFM - Agent for Service Response.
In PFM - Agent for Service Response, the Probe Daemon and the IE Probe Daemon measures a target's response times. The measurement results are output to a report file. Agent Collector collects the most recent data from the report file and manages it in the format of records.
The procedures for collecting and managing performance data depend on the record type used to store the performance data. The records for PFM - Agent for Service Response are classified into the following three types:
