Fields
Field name |
Explanation |
---|---|
Flags |
Sets the interface flag. When the number of bytes exceeds 80, the last character is >. For HP-UX, all flags that indicate the interface status are included in this field value (the ifconfig command only displays part of the flags). |
IP Address |
IP address that was found first. This is displayed using the Internet address format. |
Interface |
Interface name. |
Max Transmission Unit |
Maximum packet size (bytes). |
Network Mask |
Subnet mask of the IP address that was found first. This is displayed using the Internet address format. |
Network Name |
Network name. Network names of 1,028 bytes or more cannot be handled. If a network name is 256 bytes or more, a maximum of 255 bytes is displayed. On HP-UX, AIX, and Linux, if NIS is operating and there are no entries in the NIS network address database, the result obtained by applying mask processing on the first IP address found is displayed. |
Record Time |
Time when the record was created (Greenwich Mean Time). |
