Format

jpcconf inst unsetup    -key service-key
                       [-lhost logical-host-name]
                        -inst instance-name
                       [-noquery]

Function

The jpcconf inst unsetup command deletes an instance environment for a PFM - Agent or PFM - RM that can start multiple services on a single host.

Executing this command deletes the following directories that contain, among other items, the setup file for the instance environment:

In Windows:
- installation-folder\xxxx^#\agent\instance-name\
- installation-folder\xxxx^#\store\instance-name\
In UNIX:
- /opt/jp1pc/xxxx^#/store/instance-name/
- /opt/jp1pc/xxxx^#/agent/instance-name/

#: xxxx denotes the service key of a PFM - Agent or PFM - RM. For details about the service key, see the naming rules described in the appendix of the JP1/Performance Management Planning and Configuration Guide.

Arguments

`-key` `service-key`

Specifies the service key of the PFM - Agent or PFM - RM service for which you want to delete an execution environment. A product name can also be specified if product name display functionality is enabled. Only the service keys of PFM - Agents or PFM - RMs that have instance environments can be specified. For details about the service key of the PFM - Agent or PFM - RM service, see the naming rules described in the appendix of the JP1/Performance Management Planning and Configuration Guide.

`-lhost` `logical-host-name`

Specifies the host name of the logical host whose instance environment is to be deleted.

For logical-host-name, specify a string of 1 to 32 bytes, consisting of alphanumeric characters with no space characters and no periods (.).

For logical-host-name, you cannot specify localhost, an IP address, or a host name beginning with a hyphen (-).

`-inst` `instance-name`

Specifies the instance name for which an execution environment is to be deleted. For instance-name, specify a string of 1 to 32 bytes, consisting of alphanumeric characters.

`-noquery`

If this option is specified, the command does not output any query messages that interrupt command execution, making it unnecessary for the user to respond. Specify this option if you want the command to run in non-interactive mode.

Note that if the service with the specified instance name is running, a KAVE05143-E message is output, and the command execution is interrupted. In this case, stop the service, and then re-execute the command.

Notes

You must specify the arguments in the order they appear in Format.
If the service with the specified instance name is active, the command first stops this service and then deletes its instance environment.
If command execution is interrupted by pressing the Ctrl + C keys or by a signal, a predefined return value is not returned. Therefore, you should ignore the return value when the command was interrupted by the Ctrl + C keys or by a signal.
If you delete an instance environment of an agent, check whether alarm tables are bound to the instance environment. If alarm tables are bound, unbind all of them, and then delete the instance environment.
After executing this command, an unnecessary agent remains under the User Agents node in the Agents tree in PFM - Web Console. If you do not want that agent to be displayed, delete it manually.
If the output destinations of the Store service were changed by using the jpcconf db define command, the changed target directories will not be deleted. You need to delete them manually after running this command.

Return values

`0`	The command terminated normally.
`1`	An argument specification is invalid.
`2`	The user does not have execution permission for the command.
`4`	The specified service has not been stopped.
`5`	The specified service has not been installed.
`10`	The command is executing in another session.
`11`	The user canceled the processing (by entering `N` at the prompt).
`100`	The Performance Management environment is invalid.
`101`	Acquisition of a port number failed.
`102`	The specified instance was not found.
`200`	A memory shortage occurred.
`210`	A disk space shortage occurred.
`211`	A file or directory cannot be accessed.
`222`	A communication error occurred (IP address could not be acquired).
`230`	Execution of an internal command failed.
`232`	Deletion of the Windows service failed (applicable to the Windows versions only).
`255`	An unexpected error occurred.
