4.1.6 Configuring a web browser to use the monitoring console
You need to configure the Web browser to use PFM - Web Console:
-
Enable JavaScript
-
Enable file downloads
-
Enable Cookies
-
Display images (GIF data)
-
Check the page cache
-
Set the font size
The following settings are required only if you are using encrypted communication (connecting to a URL in which the login screen begins with https) between a web browser and the monitoring console server:
-
Enable TLS communication (for Internet Explorer only).
-
If a root certificate (from a certificate authority that issued the server certificate) has not been imported, import it.
-
If you are using a self-signed certificate for a testing purpose, import the self-signed certificate.
-
If a host name in the FQDN format is specified for Common Name in the certificate signing request file, configure the settings so that name resolution is possible between the host on which the web browser is running and PFM - Web Console, using PFM-Web-Console-host-name and domain-name. If a proxy server is set for the browser, configure the settings so that name resolution is possible from the proxy server.
The following tables list the settings for each browser.

(4) Notes on using a Web browser
If your Web browser is Firefox, data might remain in the cache due to the specifications of Firefox, resulting in incorrect display of image data. To prevent this problem, clear the cache.
