3.2 Functions for collecting and managing performance data
Performance Management collects performance data from the monitoring agents. There are two categories of collected data: data that references real-time transitions, and data that also references the history. Performance data that also references the history saves the collected data into the Store database and manages this data.
-
Recording performance data into the Store database
You can specify whether you want to record the collected performance data into the Store database. You can also specify judgment conditions when recording the performance data into the Store database.
-
Performance data collection interval and timing
You can specify the intervals for collecting the performance data. If there are many items to be monitored, system performance suffers because many data collection and recording processes occur at the same time. In such cases, the load on the system can be distributed over time by changing the collection timing to a monitoring item basis.
For example, if the performance data on two items is being collected every minute, set the offset of the collection start time (Collection Offset) to 0 seconds for one item, and set the offset of the collection start time (Collection Offset) to 20 seconds for the other. This shifts the collection timing, and distributes the load over the system.
