8.8 Locking a smart device

You can lock a smart device if, for example, it was lost.

Prerequisites

You must log in by using a user account with the system administrator permission.

Procedure

Display the Smart Device module.
In the menu area, select Smart Device, and then Managed Smart Device List.
In the information area, select the smart device to be locked.

You can select multiple smart devices.
From Action, select Lock Smart Device.
In the displayed dialog box, click OK.

Tip

For Android devices, you can use the Lock Smart Device dialog box to lock the device and change the password at the same time.
