B.2 Storage format of audit log information

The following describes the way in which audit log information is stored.

The latest audit log information is output to the file NETMAuditManager.LOG. When this log file reaches a certain size, it is renamed NETMAuditManagern.LOG. A new log file is created with the same name as the original, and new log information is written to this file. Specifically, when NETMAuditManager.LOG reaches a certain size, it is renamed NETMAuditManager1.LOG and saved. A new NETMAuditManager.LOG file is then created, and new log information is written into this file. When this new NETMAuditManager.LOG file reaches a certain size, the existing NETMAuditManager1.LOG file is renamed NETMAuditManager2.LOG, and NETMAuditManager.LOG is renamed NETMAuditManager1.LOG. The maximum value of n is 9.

In this way, each time a new log file is created, the number at the end of the old file name is incremented by 1. This means that a file with a higher number is an older file. When the number of saved files exceeds nine, the oldest log file is deleted.
